Lead Product Designer
At Data Theorem, we’re building a next-gen SaaS platform for preventing data breaches. We’re passionate about helping organizations operate in the cloud securely and ensure that their data and their customers' data is safe at all times.
The company was founded in 2013 and is headquartered in Palo Alto, California, with a growing team that’s distributed between the US and Europe. We are searching for exceptional talent pursuing an opportunity to grow and take ownership of the projects that resonate most with them.
As a Lead Product Designer, you will collaborate cross-functionally to guide new features from idea to implementation, gather feedback and actionable insights from users, help grow Data Theorem’s design team and continuously improve the usability and aesthetics of the Data Theorem experience for security teams around the globe.
You will:
Partner closely with engineers, other designers, and company leadership to create user-friendly features within Data Theorem’s web portal. The web portal is the main tool our users consume; it allows them to identify, understand, and fix security issues affecting their organization’s applications.
Work closely with designers on your team to develop and expand our design practices, identifying and evangelizing improvements for our team output.
Mentor product designers, providing constructive feedback and elevating their work to the highest standards.
Sometimes work on very broadly defined, loose concepts, and sometimes on narrowly defined, tactical deliverables.
Be a key member of a small, talented team, and have a tremendous and direct impact on the company and products.
Be amazed at your opportunity for growth within a top cybersecurity startup.
We’re looking for someone who has:
A track record in designing for complex SaaS enterprise software and dashboards, ideally where some of the software’s users are developers.
Experience directly collaborating with engineers, executives and other stakeholders, and who craves feedback to help them produce their best work.
The ability to wear multiple hats and who thrives in a startup, fast-paced environment.
Significant experience using Figma.
A basic understanding of Frontend programming languages, no need to code.
5+ years relevant design experience at a tech, product-driven company.
You might work on:
The Mobile Secure portal: tools for developers and security engineers to scan and secure the iOS and Android applications published by their organizations to the mobile app stores.
The Full-Stack dashboard: global overview of an organization’s security posture across all stacks (mobile, web, APIs and cloud).
The design system library: the component library used for both design frames and frontend implementation.
The Cloud Secure portal: tools for cloud engineers to discover all assets deployed in their organization’s cloud environment (AWS, GCP, Azure) and ensure all assets are securely configured.
